Hawks vs Pirates
After coming off a flat game against Aylmer, the Hawks were ready to come back strong. The first period was a fast paced game back and forth both ends. The teams were playing evenly and it was apparent this could be anyone's game. The first period saw many shots on both ends but no goals for either team. The second period was the same and ended 0-0. The suspense was high going into the third.
The third period started fast again, but five minutes into the game the Hawks would see Nate Veldstra, assisted by Cole Haviland score the first goal of the game. The period continued with many shots on net and he crowd full of suspense. With 39 seconds left in the third Nate Veldstra score an unassisted goal ending the game 2-0 for the Hawks, and a shut out for Keegan Jackson.
Forward Nate Veldstra was awarded player of the game.
