ATOM HAWKS FLYING HIGH
With our round robin schedule more than half complete our Atom Hawks are staying in the hunt for a final four finish.  The kids came out flying on Saturday afternoon keeping the play in Glanbrook's end for almost the entire game.  This game was all Hagersville from start to finish as Colin Fess showed his teammates what hard work is made of, flying from end to end constantly pressuring the visiting team and playing a solid defensive game.  Not to be outdone...all of his teammates followed his lead and skated hard to the final buzzer.

Despite their hard work Glanbrook put the first marker up on the board as their fastest skater split our D and barely slipped one past our netminder.  The home team didn't even seem to notice as they went back to centre ice and continued the overwhelming domination of the visiting team.  Strong backchecking and a relentless forecheck finally paid off as Rylan McIntee reaped the reward of his teammates hard work, he would bury the next 3 goals for a 3 - 1 victory.

The Glanbrook coach was stunned as our Hawks flew past his bench in celebration after this comeback victory. Our last 4 games of the season will be tough battles and I'm sure our coach will use this game as an example going forward as we face off against 3 Caledonia teams.  Only 4 of the 6 teams move on to the semi-final so it is very important that we all get the kids to practice during this long break between games.
Colin Fess took home "the bucket" for his hard work from start to finish, assists in the game went to Eliza McNeice, Noah Michaud and Colin Fess.

Practices resume in Cayuga on Thursday at 5, in HAGERSVILLE FULL ICE Saturday at 3 and again on Sunday 6 - 7, please don't miss the Saturday and Sunday practices as they are both full ice.

There is also a correction to my email address from last week, it is [email protected], apparently I missed the "c", so again if anyone would like to write and article then please send it to me, I can also put up pictures if anyone has some good ones from anytime during the season.
