HAWKS HOLD OFF REFEREES FOR SHUTOUT WIN
On Friday night the kids geared up for game 7 of their playoff round robin and with only a 4 point differential among the top 5 teams every game is a big one.  The referees got on the board early an often with a penalties at 58 seconds and 3:28 into the game.

Nolan Williams was ready and stood strong between the pipes as the PK linemates cleared rebounds and dumped pucks down the ice.  When the team got a chance to play for a while at full strength the chances for Hawks came often, pucks were flying around the net but the Caledonia tender was equally up to the challenge as he held his team in the game until the end of the second period.  With great end to end action and excellent passing by both teams there were plenty of odd man rushes for the goalies to deal with...a big save on an odd man rush and the rebound gets cleared to the line and relayed to Rylan McIntee who would make no mistake on this big break as he pounded the puck into Caledonia's net with 1:23 left in the second period.  Assists on the play went to Laney Mitchell and Eliza McNeice.  Those speedy Hawks continued to pressure the puck down low in the offensive end for the third while our D stayed home limiting scoring chances and supported their goaltender, great team defense and solid goaltending ensured these valuable points were secured.

With only 3 games left in the RR the team will have to be ready for hard fought battles as we face Caledonia 1 and 4, one of the top 5 teams is going to be left out of the FINAL FOUR, the Hawks need to secure 2 points to clinch one of those spots and you can be sure that Caledonia isn't going to give those points up easily.

GO HAWKS GO!!
