A Weekend Challenge
On January 9th the Hagersville Novice LL9 Hawks played host to the Glanbrook 7 team.

The Hawks were down a few players but this didn’t slow them from challenging the current first place team in the standings.  Cameron Coffey stood solid in net, denying several Glanbrook chances.  Glanbrook only managed to squeak in one goal in the first, one in the second and two in the third.  At one point Coffey snagged an amazing shot right out of the air.  It was a good attempt by the Hawks and all players played an exceptional game.

On January 10th the Novice Hawks traveled to Glanbrook to play the Blackhawks.  Glanbrook scored late in the first but not until after Coffey made some phenomenal saves for his team.  The Hawks held their own in the second, as they found several chances to try and make one count, but couldn’t get it past the strong Glanbrook defense.  In the third, Glanbrook found the board one more time where the score stood at 2-0 to end the game.  It was a great game by the Hawks and they should be very proud of themselves as they faced two of the top teams this weekend.  Keep up the good work Hawks.
