Hawks Vs Burford
The Hawks headed to Burford for their first match up of the round robin. The first period started off with a goal for Burford, catching the Hawks off guard. But the Hawks did not stand by and watch instead they set up a great play. Justin Wenzowski assisted by Keaton Garvie and Troy Clarkson used that great play to tie up the period.
The second period began with a nice, single handed goal by Justin Wekzowski. The period was closed out by another slick play, seeing Dustin McKeen score the third goal of the game assisted by Zach Demille and Alex Meyer. The period ended in a 3-1 lead for the Hawks.
The third period became a tougher battle. Just when it looked like the period would end without a goal, Cole Haviland, assisted by Dylan Swick, score the forth and final goal of the game. The Hawks won the game 4-1.
Forward Justin Wenzowski was awarded player of the game.
