Hawks vs Cayuga semifinal
The Hawks hosted Cayuga on Monday night in our semifinal game and they did not disappoint our fans. The kids came out skating hard and fighting for the puck every chance they had. Carter got our first goal midway thru the first period with a shot from the slot after some excellent forechecking by his line mates . The Hawks kept applying pressure and Reese found herself alone in front of the net and made no mistake
The Hawks kept skating hard and Reid added to the Hawks lead early in the second with a good shot on the breakaway. Cayuga got one back but Ryan regained our 3 goal lead heading to the third period. Landen and Emily each added goals in the third to give the Hawks a 6-1 victory. Everyone should be proud of how hard the kids played tonight it was a great effort by all (maybe it was from the fact I told them they would not get any hotdogs after game if we lost and the parents would get to eat them all : - ) )Thomas and Tyler made some good saves when needed. I would also like to thank everyone who joined us at the Legion after the game for a hotdog and a small celebration it was great to see the kids having so much fun. A big thanks to all the moms and parents who help cook and get the food ready as well as clean up it was greatly appreciated. It has been a fun year with this group of kids and it is great to see how they have improved. I hope that they have had as much fun as we have had. Our championship game is Saturday morning and I hope to see all of you out one more time when we take on Stoney Creek . GO HAWKS GO
