The Hagersville Atom CGC’s made their way to Glanbrook on November 21st to play the Glanbrook Kings 8 team.

Hagersville dominated the first  putting 3 goals on the scoreboard taking an early lead.  Conner Rasberry landed the first with assist from Quintin Salverda and Devyn Russell.  Salverda landed the second with the assistance of Drew Gibbons and Russell.  The third of the period was again by Salverda unassisted.

In the second Glanbrook fought back scoring 2 quick goals before the end of the period and the Hawks held the lead but only by 1 heading into the third.

Glanbrook put a questionable goal on their side, early in the third, evening the board, but Hagersville quickly answered back when Emmitt Houwer landed one as well, unassisted.  The board became even at 4 when Glanbrook yet again added to their side and it remained this way until Salverda completed his hat trick with just fewer than 2 left in the game, unassisted.  Glanbrook, trying to catch up again, pulled their goalie for the sixth man but Hagersville’s players and goaltender Calvin Eggink were not going to let that happen.  Eggink made some fantastic saves keeping his team ahead as the final seconds ticked down earning himself player of the game.  Final score 5-4 for Hagersville.
