Worn out cowbells
Since our webmaster was away, I will give a short summary of last nights game.
Cayuga opened the scoring at 4:10 of the first period, starting a rally from the Hagersville team which had the intensity of a tournament championship game. 90 seconds later Ryan Mattice found a hole and sunk one deep to tie the game.
During the second period it was all Hagersville with Dean Eggink scoring his first hat trick of the season and a beautiful shot from Adriano Moretti at the point scoring on a blistering shot.
With a four goal lead, the third period was all about protecting the lead, dumping the puck out of our zone and not allowing the Cayuga team into our zone. Jack Hill found an opportunity to get one more goal just before games end finishing the game 6-1 for Hagersville.
Excellent defensive play by the entire team.
Going into this game our focus was, “shots on goal”. And that’s exactly what we accomplished. Everyone played their best and that’s all we can ask.
