November end by Sheila Phibbs
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Pee Wee Reps who experienced mixed results over five games.  November 17th found the team in Burford with Hagersville taking an early lead thanks to a goal from Justin Wenzowski, assisted by Dusty McKeen.  Burford played hard and tied mid-way through the second but Dusty gave the team the go ahead goal in the third.  Justin had the assist.  Once again, Burford scored to tie as both teams battled and wound up with a 2-2 draw.

Two nights later, on November 19th, Glanbrook came to Hagersville for what promised to be a hard played game. The Hawks had the added challenge of juggling the line-up with players absent but scored first on a goal from Dylan Swick, assisted by Jordan Guetter.  Glanbrook established a 3-1 lead in the second but Keaton Garvie put one in to narrow the gap with Jordan assisting.  Glanbrook scored to double the lead until Keaton scored again, assisted by Dylan, to make the game close.

On November 23rd, the Pee Wees headed to Caledonia to end the weekend.  The home team had the speed and skill to maintain control of the game, establishing a 4-0 lead by the third period.  Hagersville did not give up with Justin Wenzowski seizing the chance to score in the third but that would be the only visiting goal.

Another away game took place on November 25th as Hagersville met up with Delhi.  This was an exciting game to watch as both teams made quality shots and momentum shifted back and forth.  The Hawks found the net first with Dylan Swick putting in the rebound from Jacob Gallagher.  That lead held until the third when Delhi scored short-handed.

Both teams had players in the box throughout the final period making offense a greater challenge.  Just when it looked like the game would end in a tie, Delhi charged in to score with 1.3 seconds on the clock.  It was a heart break ending for the Hawks but they held their heads high knowing they had played a solid game good puck possession and plenty of shots.

Success came to the team on November 26th with a home game against Cayuga.  After a slow start, Owen Prinzen moved the puck forward to Dusty McKeen who directed it to Travis Phibbs who skated in to get the opening goal.  Moments later, Travis and Dusty worked the puck across to Emma Campbell who popped it in over the goalie.

The game took on an almost frantic pace as the both teams played with a determined effort.  After a lot of work around the net, Dylan Swick forced in the third goal assisted by Spencer Martin and Jacob Gallagher.  Emma netted her second of the game after receiving a pass from Travis and sending it in high.

Cayuga came on strong in the third, scoring on a deflection.  Hagersville responded as Dylan earned his second after Jacob won a face-off.  Zack Demille got in on the action as he carried the puck in over the blue line and took a shot that slid under the pads.  The final goal came as Travis created a rebound for Dusty to shoot in.  Emma capped off a three point night with an assist on the play.  The team celebrated the win as they skated off knowing they got  the job done against a team that never gives up.  The Pee Wees now look forward to a road trip to Wasaga Beach on December 5th for the Regional Silver Stick.
