Hawks vs Cayuga playoff round robin
The Hawks started their playoffs with a couple of games this week against Cayuga . The first game was against Cayuga on Saturday afternoon with Cayuga coming out strong with 2 goals in the first period . Hagersville got one back early in the second after a mad scramble in front of the net ended up with Hayden Deward getting his first goal of the season (great job Hayden).Cayuga answered right back with another 2 quick goals and skated to a 4-1 victory.
On Thursday night the Hawks traveled to Cayuga for another playoff game. This game the Hawks came out skating hard and had a few good chances to score but we're unable to find the back of the net. Cayuga came back and scored 2 quick goals late in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. The Hawks kept skating hard with some excellent forechecking and ended up with Aiden getting a penalty shot midway thru the period. Aiden made a nice move and best the goalie to the far side. The Hawks kept adding the pressure and Landon tied the game up with a shot from the slot after some nice moves to get around the defense . The Hawks stayed strong and Reid gave us the lead with just under a minute to go with a great rush from center ice and they held on for the win. This was a great team effort and the coaches were very proud of how hard the kids skated tonight. Carter, Ayden, Reese and Kayson all had some good chances . Let's keep this effort going when we face Stoney Creek this weekend with a pair of games. WAY TO GO HAWKS...........
