For the 2020-2021 we know it will be different than any other season we have ever experienced. Following the Return to Hockey Framework, we are currently in Stage 3a, the plan is to move to 3b on Sept 1st. We do not know the dates of any stage movements beyond Sept 1st.
We currently do not know when our season will begin but we can tell you the following changes for this upcoming season
-players must register where they registered last season, or return to their home center
-no tryouts are permitted
-there will be no REP hockey programming for 2020-2021
-games will be played with modified rules (Appendix "F" pg.31) using a 3on3 or 4on4 model. 5on5 is a possibility later in the season, but not a guarantee
-all teams will consist of 9 skaters and 1 goalie
-there will be no official "leagues", play will consist of "bubbles" consisting of 5 teams within local Public Health Units until at least stage 3d
-players will only be permitted to play on 1 team within the OHF
This is what we know for sure right now, as we learn more we will communicate the updates. This article has been viewed 1953 times.
