2019 Annual Murray Johnson Local League Tournament
Hagersville Minor Hockey presents the 2019 Murray Johnson Annual Local League Tournament November 22nd -24th.

Hagersville Minor Hockey presents the 2019 Murray Johnson Local League Hockey Tournament which runs November  22nd-24th. This Local League/House League Tournament started 28 years ago. We have grown the tournament over the years and last year we had a total of 52 teams participate. This tournament is open to Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget Local League/House League Teams.  This is not an elimination type format tournament. This is a 3 game tournament with all teams playing their third game on Sunday against a similarly seeded team based on the results of your first 2 games. We call Sunday "Championship Sunday" with every team playing in a Championship game. Sunday games are usually very close and exciting. The emphasis is on fun with a touch of competitiveness thrown in.  This format has been very well received over the years.

We strive to schedule teams to play teams they normally don't play during regular season play. We do what we can with scheduling  to accommodate teams coming in from afar.

All teams are provided one pizza party at a time of your choice. All participants receive a gift.

For Teams requiring overnight accommodations, we  have rooms set aside at the Best Western in Brantford and Courtyard Marriott in Hamilton. Last year we had teams stay in Brantford, Simcoe and Hamilton all within 30 minutes of our two venues (Hagersville and Caledonia Arenas).

For those teams interested and whose tournament schedule permits, we will be arranging tickets for purchase at a discounted rate for the Hamilton Bulldogs OHL games on the Friday evening or Saturday afternoon as they face off against North Bay Battalion and Guelph Storm (something you could consider doing to enhance your overall weekend tournament experience).  The Annual Santa Claus Parade in Caledonia on the Saturday is also an opportunity to take in.

Cost of our Tournament is $680. NO GATE FEES
Recognizing that our tournament is relatively early in the hockey season for House League and Local League Teams, we can work out payment methods. We operate on a first come first serve basis when filling spots.

We are happy to welcome the Dairy Farmers of Ontario as a major sponsor for this year's tournament.
