Day 1: game at 815, the U11 hawks red team woke up for an early game before the birds, travelling to thorold to battle the Kitchener gladiators at the brock university Canada games park. All 11 kids showed up and put an offensive clinic on the gladiators winning 3-0. The backchecking kept multiple rushes shut down at the blue line. Game 2 @2:30 - the hawks faced off against st Catherine’s and came up short in a 4-2 defeat. Struggling through a first period the hawks battled back sneaking a couple past the very dominant st Catherine’s majors goalie. A low hard shot from the blue line by Karson Misner snuck the first one past the goalie by deflecting off Levi Daleys skate for goal 1, goal 2 was a show of determination speed and hands by Levi Daley with a quick short side to far side deke by Levi Daley to slip one off the inside of the post. The hawks battled for 3 minutes with the goalie pulled to try and pull off a tie but it wasn’t in the hockey gods cards today.
