On Sunday October 19th, 2014 Hagersville Novice
LL9 (Paul’s Sports) opened our season at home with a win against Cayuga.
It was exciting right until the end and our team finished with a 3 – 2 win! Way to go team! Looking forward to an exciting season.
Despite great play by our team at both ends of the ice, Cayuga managed to score twice in the first period. Thirty seconds into the second period Carter Skye- Bluhm opened our scoring for the season with an unassisted goal. Scoring continued with a goal by Grace Taylor assisted by Carly Waldbrook with 2 minutes remaining in the second period. With the game tied going into the third our team was pressing for the go ahead goal. Our goalie Austin Topp did an awesome job in net making some big saves in the third period. Carly Waldbrook scored with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game assisted by Mason Mitchell and Carter Skye- Bluhm. It was exciting right until the end and our team finished with a 3 – 2 win! Way to go team! Looking forward to an exciting season.
