Busy Weekend October 24th- 26th
Hagersville Novice LL9 Paul’s Sports
The Hagersville Novice LL9 Paul Sports team had a busy
weekend. Games on both Friday and Sunday and an early Saturday morning practice! The kids played great but just couldn't find the back of the net this weekend.
On Friday October 24th we had our first away game in Caledonia. Our team gave up two goals in the first period despite all efforts and great goaltending. Caledonia had another quick goal to start the second period. The team worked hard to dig the puck out and clear it out of our end. Our goalie Austin Topp and the defence were kept very busy and played great. Hagersville had a couple of great scoring chances in the third, including breakaways by Gavin Simington and Carter Skye- Bluhm. Final score Caledonia 4- Hagersville 0.
Our team had an early Saturday practice followed by our third game against Caledonia 2 on Sunday October 26th. The first period saw no goals and was an evenly matched period. Our team had some good shots on the net and were playing great. Caledonia scored in the second and early in the third to take a 2-0 lead. Our team was working hard for the puck but were not able to put one past the goalie. Another great game for goalie Austin Topp. The final score was Caledonia 2- Hagersville 0.
