First playoff win for Paul Sports
With no time for rest, Hagersville LL9 was back at it the next night Monday, February 23rd against the Hagersville Red Star team.
Our team had a very slow start and the Hagersville Red Star were able to score twice in the first and once early in the second to take a 3-0 lead. In a game that looked like it may be out of reach, our Hagersville Paul Sports turned things around halfway through the second. Carly Waldbrook scored from Grace Taylor and then less than a minute later Braeden Heeg scored from Carter Skye- Bluhm to start our comeback. In the third period, Hagersville Paul Sports came out strong and determined for a win. Gavin Simington tied things up when he skated the puck end to end for a great unassisted goal. At the 5 minute mark of the third, we took our first lead of the game when Braeden scored on a beautiful pass from Carter Skye -Bluhm with the other assist going to Sam Heeg. Strong team effort capped off with some great saves by Austin Topp made for an exciting 4-3 win. Great game by both teams!
