Hawks vs Simcoe Warriors
Simcoe headed down Highway #3 to face off against the Hawks, with goalie Mason Leeneders between the pipes ready for action. The Warriors were fast on their feet and the first to score.
Dustin McKeen, assisted by Alexander Meyer, would come right back with the first goal for the Hawks. Simcoe took no time at all and put one in the net in a strong effort to stay on top. Then Dustin McKeen passed to Ethan Fess who then passed to Nathanael Ellison, and Nathanael took a zinger of a shot tieing up the period 2-2.
The second period would prove to be tough. The Hawks fought hard to keep the puck out of the net, but Simcoe managed to get one in ending the period in a 3-2 lead for Simcoe.
The third period would be do or die and Simcoe was hot for the win, scoring two more goals in the first half of the period. The Hawks put pressure on in and attempt to gain control of the scoreboard. Dispite their efforts the game ended in a 5-2 win for Simcoe.
Goalie Mason Leenders was awarded player of the game.
