Hawks vs Twin Centre Stars
In game two, of the regular season, the Hawks were in the nest, hosting the Twin Centre Stars with goalie Keegan Jackson between the pipes. The Hawks took flight in the first period as defenseman Zack Demille stepped onto the ice immediately taking a pass from Nathanael Ellison and landing the first goal.
This put the wind under the wings and at the 5 minute mark, Dylan Swick, assisted by Nathanael Ellison and Tyler Demille, would light the board up again. Two minutes later Keaton Garvie, assisted by Zack Demille, would nail another puck in the net. With only a minute left in the first period Dylan Swick, assisted by Dustin McKeen, would put the forth goal on the board, ending the period 4-0 for the Hawks.
After a hot start the Hawks worked hard through the second period, keeping the Stars from lighting up the scoreboard. With two minutes left Tyler Demille, assisted by Keaton Garvie and Justin Wenzowski, sealed the only goal of the period. The second period ended 5-0 for the Hawks.
The Stars came out strong in the third but the Hawks were on the hunt for a win. Justin Wenzowski, assisted by Dustin McKeen, flexed their wings and hit the net for the final goal of the game. The game ended 6-0 for the Hawks and a shut out for goalie Keegan Jackson.
Player of the game was awarded to Forward Dylan Swick.
