The first playoff game for the Hagersville Novice Local League Hawks
took place at Valley Park Arena against the Stoney Creek Kings. It was clear from the first face off that the
Hawks came out to play hockey today.
Koen Berkel landed the first goal of the game halfway through the first unassisted. Cameron Coffey made some great saves this game for his team and Koen Berkel added two more completing his hat trick early in the second period. Assists on Berkel’s second goal were from Emily Walton and Emmitt Houwer. The assists on Berkel’s third goal of the game were from Devyn Russell and Owen Young. The team continued to work hard in the third period to keep their lead. The board remained at 3 for the Hawks at the end of the third and Coffey earned his first shutout of the playoffs. Great game Hawks keep up the great work.
