Hawks vs Edge in a tight one
Fresh off a tough Rep tournament in Port Dover, the Hawks were back to face Embro after having a thrilling game just last week with them.

In a game with payback on their minds from their second loss of the season, the Hawks knew that Embro would be giving it there everything to try to give Hagersville their first loss.
The game started with back and forth play with both goalies being required to make a few saves but the play went on, as no whistles occurred until after the 5 minute mark.
With about 30 seconds left in the period Hagersville was called for a tripping penalty and Embro made them pay for it by sliding one past Austin Topp with 7.8 seconds left in the period to give Embro a 1-0 lead heading into the second period.
The 2nd period was all Hagersville as the puck was in the Embro end for the majority of the period but the Embro goalie was standing on his head turning away everything that Hagersville could possibly throw at him. Chance after chance denied, but the Hawks kept their heads up even with the score remaining 1-0 going into the third.
As the clock started to whittle down the Hawks turned the pressure up even more and with less than 3 minutes to go in the game their perseverance paid off as Zach Bezemer slammed one home to tie it up at 1. Braeden Heeg picked up the assist on the goal. With the score tied up, it turned into quite the hectic last couple minutes. Both teams had some chances but it was Hagersville battling in front of the Embro net and Justin Kerwin was able to find the loose puck and put it in to give the Hawks a 2-1 lead. Connor Mendes and Owen Doolittle picked up the assists. With less than a minute to go Embro pulled their goalie and madness ensued in the Hagersville end with a scramble and bodies flying everywhere until finally with only a couple seconds left on the clock Owen Doolittle fired the puck down the ice and the buzzer sounded on a thrilling and hard fought Hagersville victory which extended their unbeaten start to the regular season to 14 games.

Goals - Zach Bezemer, Justin Kerwin
Assists - Braeden Heeg, Owen Doolittle, Connor Mendes

Player of the game was Zach Bezemer for his terrific effort in a solid 2 way game.

Next up Wednesday Nov 30th in Hagersville against Paris.
