Undefeated season is complete
The season finale against Ingersoll gave the Hawks a chance to complete their undefeated regular season.

The Hawks have made a habit of starting slow but it was anything but that, as 11 seconds into the game the Hawks had a tremendous chance and only a great glove save by the Ingersoll goalie kept the it from being a goal. It was the start the Hawks needed though and they were firing pucks from everywhere at the goalie and finally halfway thru the period the Hawks got rewarded. Connor Mendes went to the net and tapped home the rebound on an Owen Doolittle shot from the slot to make it 1-0. Cam Schweitzer picked up the 2nd assist on the goal. On the same shift a little over 30 seconds later, Connor pocketed his second of the game with Justin Kerwin and Owen drawing the assists. A mere 8 seconds later off a faceoff, Gavin Simington passed it up to Zach Bezemer who found Evan Sibbick in the high slot for a bullet that the goalie didn't have a chance to move on, and just like that in a minute it was 3-0. The rest of the period was even with Austin Topp having to make some nice saves, but with 3.4 seconds left in the period an Ingersoll player stepped in and using the defence as a screen was able to fire one into the top corner to make it 3-1 at the end of the first.
In the second period it was a back and forth affair until the 6 minute mark when Evan scored his second of the game on a rocket of a shot that hit the back bar in the net and came out so fast that no one could even react. Justin picked up his second assist of the game on that one.
Heading to the third with the game 4-1, the Hawks kept up the play and put the pedal down and with just over five minutes to go, Bezemer fired a puck from the corner that banked in off an Ingersoll player and made it 5-1. A couple of minutes later Braeden Heeg rounded out the scoring by firing home a cross crease pass from Zach and making it a 6-1 final. Carson Mitchell also assisted on the play.

Goals - Connor Mendes (2), Evan Sibbick (2), Zach Bezemer, Braeden Heeg
