Novice Rep, U9, 2017-2018 (Hagersville Minor Hockey)

After a tough series loss to Delhi in the OMHA playoffs where the Hawks played some good hockey but were unable to find the back of the net and ended up losing 1-0 in the final game. The Hawks were back at it Friday night in Alymer to play the undefeated Flames in the southern counties playoffs. With only 2 games remaining the kids knew they needed a great effort against a very strong team. Both teams came out skating hard and had many chances to score but Daxton and Alymers goalie played great making many big saves. The Hawks were on the road to face off against Delhi in an important Southern Counties playoff game Tuesday night. With both teams tied in the standings this was a big game and both teams desperately wanted the 2 points. The Hawks came out with a great first period and held a 2-0 lead heading into the second after goals by Colby and Ayden. The Hawks let up a bit in the second and Delhi answered back with 3 goals to take a 3-2 going into the third. The Hawks tried to battle back and tied the game at 3 after Colby beat the goalie with a good shot on a break away. 

First I would like to apologize to all of our Hawks fans who have been reading our articles this year ( I would like to say I have been very very busy but too many readers know me well :) . This update is well overdue and I will do my best to keep up with the articles to keep our fans happy :) . They Hawks ended the regular season in second place and are now currently in the middle of their southern counties schedule.
