On
February 7th the Hagersville Restaurant Peewee LL Hawks appeared to
have a hard time starting as Caledonia 3 came to town to challenge them.
Caledonia took an early lead of 2 in the first and added another to their side in the second. Hagersville had many shots on net but could not seem to find a hole. In the third, Caledonia squeaked one more in, giving them a 4 goal lead, but Mason Leenders was not going to allow them another as he made some great saves during the game. With 3 minutes left in the third, Brett Russell found the puck on his stick, struggled against the Caledonia players while his line was changing and wrapped the puck around so that Hagersville finally were on the board and Caledonia lost their chance for a shutout. With a few last minute tries, Hagersville unfortunately turned up short and took their first playoff loss of the season. Keep your chins up team you’ll get them next time.
