Hagersville Hawks-1 vs Glanbrook Rangers-4
Hagersville Hawks had another extra effort game against Glanbrook Rangers. The game was back and forth action. With each game we are seeing the kids skill level get taken up another notch. Hawks are starting to provide good goal tending protection, getting rid of the put and protecting our goalie. Rangers were stopped time and time again by goaltender Ryerson Leenders. Defense Lucas, Josh, Kaellum and Cameron were boxing out shooters in front of the net. Forwards are starting to look like a team.
Lucas Phibbs had the only goal of the game. Lucas had a classic Bobby Orr end to end rush, with center Stephen Reidy and winger Connor Mendes trailing for the loose puck. No need, Lucas took a hard shot and goalie did not have a chance. Good rush Lucas.
I think we are ready for this up coming weekend in Wasaga Beach SilverStick tournament. Hawks are becoming a team, learning their positions and starting to come off the ice at end of the game full of sweat. Good effort and good luck this weekend Hawks.
