Hawks vs Ayr Flames
The Hawks took to the ice for their second game against Ary in the round robin, looking for a win. Cole Haviland, assisted by Nate Veldstra, would land the first goal on the board. Three minutes later, Chase Bacher would make his way down the ice to get an unassisted second goal for the Hawks. The first period ended 2-0 for the Hawks.
The Hawks would dominate the second period as well with great passing, and defensive team work. Half way into the second period Tyler Matthews, assisted by Troy Clarkson and Chase Bacher, would put the third goal on the board. Two minutes later, Chase Bacher got another unassisted goal. The second period ended 4-0 for the Hawks.
Early into the third period, Ayr got their first goal. This lit a bit more fire into the Hawks as they came back with Cole Haviland, assisted by Chase Bacher, putting a fifth goal on the board. With just over two minutes left in the third Ayr scored a second goal, ending the game in a 5-2 win for the Hawks.
Forward Tyler Matthews was awarded player of the game.
