First Home Ice Game of the Season by Jenn Russell
Wow is all that can be said about the Hagersville Hawk’s Novice Local League team’s first home game against the Stoney Creek Kings.

It took less than a minute for Koen Berkel to make his move as he scored the opening goal unassisted.  Jacob Yates followed up with a point of his own also unassisted.  Berkel finished up the first with two more completing his hat trick, the first unassisted and the second assisted by Owen Young.

The scoring continued into the second with Devyn Russell scoring his first of the season assisted by Caleb Brant.  Madelynn Lammel scored her first of the season as well, assisted by William Voltuik.  Berkel finished up the second with two more points, one unassisted and the other assisted by Noah Reicheld.

In the third, Noah Reicheld was in the right spot as he scored his first goal of the season assisted by Berkel.  Berkel found himself in a breakaway position to add another to his stats, unassisted.  Reicheld put in another as him and Mason Mitchell worked the puck down to Stoney Creeks end.  Emily Walton finished up the scoring for Hagersville also scoring her first of the season assisted by Young and Berkel.  Cameron Coffey was terrific in net as he stopped some amazing shots right up to the end earning himself his first shutout of the season.  Congratulations to all the Hawks with their firsts of the season today and the fans look forward to many more
