It was Orange vs Black on October 31st as the
black Hagersville Novice LL Hawks earned themselves a treat when they played
the Caledonia Orange for a Halloween win.
Koen Berkel put his team on the board with the opening goal in the first
unassisted. Caledonia tried to answer
back but goal tender Cameron Coffey was having no part of that as his quick
reflexes took away their chances.
Hagersville scored two more goals late in the second period. The first was from Emmitt Houwer scoring his first of the season assisted by Jacob Yates. Congratulations Emmitt! The second belonged to Berkel, adding to his teams score, assisted by Madelynn Lammel.
Avery Heaslip scored his first of the season in the third when he took off on a breakaway giving his team a comfortable lead. Great job Avery! Koen completed his hat trick late in the third with a beauty assisted once again by Lammel. Coffey secured his second shutout of the season and the young Hawks surrounded him with a celebratory hug after the game. Great game team!!
