Teamwork Makes the Dream Work by Jenn Russell
The Hagersville Bantam Rep Hawks found themselves in Alymer on November 29th for a very well-played game built on teamwork.  The Hawks moved the puck around amongst each other amazingly in Alymer’s end during the first but it was Alymer that landed the opening goal this game.

A face off in Alymer’s end proved successful for the Hawks, early in the second, when Cole Campbell, dropped the puck back to Tucker Awalt, that sent it over to Braden Bond in the slot, to take a lightening shot evening the odds, but Alymer took the lead once again at the end of a power play and the second ended roughly with the Hawks down by one.

The Hawks came out re-energized in the third when Campbell landed a beautiful shot as he walked right in to Alymer’s end and faked the pass taking the shot instead assisted by Kalvin Logan.  The Hawks couldn’t let the game end in a draw so Braden Bond put his team ahead as he dug around out front of Aylmer’s net to sneak one in assisted by Travis Phibbs.  Jordan Laforme snagged several shots right out of the air when Alymer tried to even the board by pulling their goalie in the last couple of minutes of play but the Hawks came out to play today and held on to the win.  Way to go Hawks.
