The
Hagersville Bantam Rep team hosted the Burford Coyotes on February 22nd
for one of their few remaining Southern Counties games.
Hagersville’s Tucker Awalt scored the game opener, late in the first, unassisted, and AP goalie Bradley Verral made some great saves from between the pipes.
Hagersville scored another early, in the second, when Jordan Guetter lifted the puck during a scramble in Burford’s end, assisted by Win Cooper. The remainder of this period belonged to Burford as they popped in four taking the lead 4-2 before the period ended.
Brody Smith evened the board for his team in the third when he added two to Hagersville’s side. His first assisted by Cooper and his second by Cooper and Guetter. The score remained even at 4, for both sides, as the game ended, giving each a point a piece. Good try Hawks.
On February 25th the Hawks found themselves in Langton, still down a few players, but determined to play despite the odds. Langton scored first, late in the first, but Brody Smith landed a great shot as well with Hagersville’s only goal of the game assisted by Logan Scott and Jade Bacher.
Langton continued to score three more in the second and one in the third taking the win from the Hawks with a 5-1 score. Good try Hawks.
