The
Hagersville Hawks Local League 9 team made a statement in Glanbrook on November
7th when they came out to play the Glanbrook 6 team.
Quintin Salverda won the first face off sending it back to Emily Walton that sent it back up to Salverda that was already heading in to Glanbrook’s zone. Salverda sent the puck over to Emmitt Houwer that landed the shot and put the team up by one early in the game. Quintin Salverda followed up with two goals of his own also in the first. His first was unassisted on a breakaway and his second was assisted by Drew Gibbons.
The Hawks put 3 more on the board all in less than a minute left of the second. The first was with 51 seconds left by Mason Mitchell and assisted by Salverda and Ryan Dewaard. The second was with 16 seconds left in the period by Salverda and assisted by Lucy Dewaard. The third was with just 1 second left by Conner Rasberry and assisted again by both Dewaards.
In the third Glanbrook came out with a vengeance. Glanbrook sneaked in 3 this period and it was dangerously close for them to achieve more but not with the quick skills of Calvin Eggink who kept them at bay. Salverda snuck in another giving him a total of 4 this game with the help of Houwer and Cooper Murphy. Final score 7-3 for the Hawks and another win for the season.
