STILL SOARING
Unfortunately I missed the game in Six Nations but from what I hear it was a pretty good one as we dominated the Blackhawks 4 - 0.  Our third shutout of the season with scoring from Tyler Matthews, Wyatt Norman and Miles Berkel, and assists for Wyatt and Tyler as well.

The next night down the road to Burford, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of these guys this season.........

The coyotes couldn't tell which end of them had the tail as our forwards busted in and started the scoring with an early goal from Wyatt Norman as this hard working youngster proves his spot well deserved, speaking of well deserved the assists on the play went to Reilley Binek and Carson Mitchell.
The coyotes were still still chasing their tale late into the opening period as there were lots of missed opportunities throughout the period but one of those dogs managed to get loose and fire in a wrist shot to even things up with 2:16 to go.  Just seconds later and Tyler Matthews fired in a beautiful wrist shot  just inside the oppositions end for our second goal of the period assisted by Rylan McIntee and Owen Doolittle.
The speedy Hawks took to gliding in the 2nd and the coyotes found their leg s as they battled hard for  2 unanswered goals and their first lead in the game was their reward as we headed  into the 3rd period.
It was fast paced end to hockey with both teams playing steady defense and neither netminder willing to give up any additional advantage in the game.  With just 3 minutes remaining in the game Wyatt from Miles and Tyler put the tying goal behind the Burford netminder, Burford turned on the heat as they relentlessly attacked our net... the breakaway shot was knocked down by the glove of Nolan and the puck cleared up the ice by Hunter Gallagher, picked up by Wyatt and he slips it into the 5 hole for the hat trick.  Less than a minute remaining and the Coyotes scramble for the equalizer, with the goalkeeper on the bench for an extra attacker they get one through a crowd of legs that looked sure to go in......pad save......rebound quickly cleaned up and great job controlling the puck for the dying seconds.
Great game and like coach 50 said before and after the game "it takes 13 kids to win"!  A slow week ahead but keep an eye on the website for changes please parents, no home game this Wednesday but that time will be used for a practice...after that we head into a stretch of 5 games in 11 days.  Starting in Cayuga on Sunday, at home vs Plattsville on Wednesday, to Ayr on Friday (yes you will miss the Hagersville Santa Clause parade) then Tillsonburg Sunday Dec 13th before we head home for a game against Aylmer.  The first half of the sesaon will wrap up on December 23rd in Port Dover.  Please check your schedules as you make your Holiday plans and let Adam know as soon as possible if you will miss a game.
