Last 3 playoff round games
The Hawks played their last 3 games of the round robin last week. They came away with 1 win and 2 losses. Their first game was against Cayuga and again it was a very close game. Aiden got our only goal mid way thru the second period after a pass by Ryley and he beat a guy at the blue line to send him in on a breakaway where he beat the goalie with a shot to the far side. Cayuga battled back and tied the game later in the period.
The third period was a close one but Cayuga got a goal midway thru and held on for the 2-1 victory. Ryley played an awesome game and had a few good chances to score . On Saturday we traveled to Stoney Creek and we're defeated 7-2. We were missing many players and the kids seemed to get tired midway thru the game. They played hard and never gave up. Kayson and Landen each scored for the hawks with the assists going to Bryce and Emily. We then hosted Cayuga on Sunday for our final round robin game.This was probably our best effort all year. The Hawks came out flying with an early goal by Aiden and another by Landen to give us a 2-0 lead after one.Reid and Kayson scored in the second to make it 4-1 after two. The kids were having their most fun of the year and added 3 more goals to skate away with 7-1 victory. We will now host Cayuga in a semifinal game so keep your eye on our calendar for the date of the game. The winner will then face Stoney Creek in the finals.
