Peewee Hawks 9, 2017-2018 (Hagersville Minor Hockey)

Our Hawks were under fire tonight as we faced off against the league leader Caledonia 2.  They have not been beat this season.......... yet............ and tonights game made it apparent why.  I hate saying it but they are good, well they move the puck well and can put some pressure on you but Nolan was ready to give his team a fighting chance and I'd say a little more intensity from our Hawks might be all we need.

Almost midway into our playoffs and it's pretty clear the seeding for the semi-finals isn't going to make much difference to anyone, all of the teams appear pretty equally matched but my guess........ we're going to be playing Caledonia 3 in the semi final.  If I'm right then it's going to be a big disappoint for one of the two teams but if I had to pick one Caledonia team to potentially knock us out in the end this would be the team.  From the crease out these teams couldn't be closer and it showed on the scoreboard again in a 1 - 1 Tie

First home game of the playoffs and it was another good one, not that I would have expected anything less.  A disallowed goal was the difference in this game, a little bit of confusion from the penalty box and a sympathetic referee........ or was it the coach's yelling that changed his mind...... Either way both goalies played a great game and we split the points for the second time in as many games.

Well, it's been a slow few weeks and a couple of lackluster performances going into the break left little to brag about.  The DQ Challenge Cup was a lot of fun for kids and parents alike and there was a bit of hockey with a couple of really good games while we were there too!  So here we go........... headed into the playoffs and the first game............... drum roll................. Hagersville vs yup you guessed it ......... Caledonia and get used to reading that!
