The Hawks had 2 tough games this weekend in losing to Caledonia on Friday night and falling short to the other Hagersville team on Sunday. The kids played hard in both games and gave a good effort. Friday nigh we traveled to Caledonia to play the ice dogs and came out with a 8-2 loss. The kids gave a great effort against a much bigger and older team and kept the game close until the third period when the ice dogs scored 5 times. Reid scored our first goal late in the first period with a great effort in front of the net and slid the puck by the goalie.
Landen scored our second goal early in the third period when he beat the goalie with hard shot from the slot to pull the Hawks within a goal.

On Sunday we played the other Hagersville team and fell short again losing 5-2 . This was a closer game than what the score indicated. Goalies from both teams made some big saves and all the kids skated hard and gave a good effort. Reid had another great game scoring both goals for us and coming very close a couple times at getting the hat trick. The game was close until midway through the third period when the other Hagersville team added a couple late goals.
